2023 Calendar Launch

Blog: 2023 Calendar Launch - Live 9/27/22

Hey hey hey. It’s been a while. Welcome to my blog. I was gifted a box of the newest Erin Conden products from the Softbound 2023 launch. Today, I’m going to talk about those items and give my honest opinion about the products. If you’re curious about the softbounds, stay tuned!

The first product is the In Bloom Softbound Hourly planner. The softbound hourly is a beautiful, professional planner. This planner is great for those who need a lot of structure in their planner. The color scheme is incredibly calming and pastel oriented. This color scheme is definitely not the regular EC color scheme, so be aware when you’re shopping for stickers or accessories. Handdrawn florals are featured on most of the pages of this planner. There are different flowers featured in each month of the planner. The In Bloom Softbound is a bit bigger than the typical lifeplanner, however it doesn’t take up a massive amount of space on a desk. It is also a little harder to use stickers in this planner, due to the fact that it is softbound. If you love a sticker kit every week, I don’t know if this is the right planner for you.

However, if you’re more of a functional planner, I think this can be an amazing addition to your 2023 planner stack. One other thing to keep in mind about this planner is that you won’t be able to change the cover after it’s purchased. So be aware of the binding if you choose to go the softbound route. The 8x10 Softbound retails for $38. Options will include the In Bloom Hourly, In Bloom Vertical, Ettavee vertical, Colorblends Hourly, Colorblends Vertical and Colorful Harmony Vertical. This planner comes with a ribbon marker and personalization options (gold, platinum or rose gold foil).

Holy dreamboats batman. Erin Condren has a new planner style out! Can we just appreciate the bright, bold colors of this Ettavee A5 Softbound? It. Is. Perfection. This planner IMMEDIATELY stole my heart. Ettavee is a new option for the softbound planner. The bright colors are not the typical Erin Condren color scheme order. The fonts also feel incredibly different in this planner. It’s a very light, fun, and airy design. The Ettavee Bliss is stunning. I’m really hoping we see Ettavee as an option for 2023-2024 lifeplanners.

The A5 Softbounds will also be offered in Colorblends, Blush with Harmony Colorful Guts, In Bloom and Ettavee. This is a 12 month planner that retails for $32. There will be one ribbon marker and several personalization options (gold, platinum or rose foil).  This planner is great for journaling, list making or even memory planning. I’m planning to use this planner for journaling and self care over 2023. So. Excited.

Next up is the baby of the planner box. The Pocket Planner is such a cute, tiny addition to your planner stack. This planner is a great companion planner for someone who may enjoy online planning. The Pocket Planner can fit in pretty much any bag and it’s perfect for someone who is always on the go. If you need an easy place to jot down notes or urgent to do’s, this planner could be for you. The size is definitely small, but I think there is still a good bit of space to write. The Pocket Planner retails for $18.50. The options for the outside design of this planner include In Bloom, Colorblends, and Blush. There will be several personalization options available: gold, platinum or rose foil.

So there were a few more goodies in the box, and I’m so excited to tell you about them. I was sent the Watercolor Stripes Deskpad as well as the Desk Calendar with Acrylic Stand. I stan the Watercolor Stripes pattern. I’m really hoping we see this as an option for the 2023-2024 lifeplanners. I’d be absolutely sold on this or Ettavee.

The deskpad has plenty of sheets to write on with tons of space on each sheet (10x10 with 52 sheets). This deskpad would be great in your office or home alike. The Watercolor Stripes Deskpad can easily be used for tracking work to do’s, brain dumps or meetings. However, this deskpad can also be used for things like meal planning, content planning or even goal setting. I love this deskpad and can’t wait for it to be a part of my regular planning routine. This deskpad will be priced at $15.00 and i think it’s well worth it.

The Desk Calendar with Acrylic Stand is not an item I’ve ever owned. I’m really excited to use this acrylic stand on my desk. This calendar is perfect for any dates that don’t change (anniversaries, birthdays, etc). I think the transparent metallic dots would be the perfect addition to this calendar. The stand is Mid Century Circles patterned. The calendar pages are colorblends. Each calendar page has a quote on the opposite side. This desk calendar is perfect for planning out your year at a glance. This desk calendar and stand will be priced at $18.50.

The monthly sticker book is becoming way more A5 planner friendly. The packaging for this book is definitely new, I love the presentation of this book. There are tons of colorblends functional stickers throughout the 12 pages of this book. There are 4 rectangle stickers, 1 lined sticker, 2 small rectangle stickers, 7 circle stickers, 3 flags, 5 scripts and 2 washi strips. The rest of the stickers are purely decorative. This sticker book is based on the EC Colorful/Colorblends color scheme. This book is a great way to add color to basic spreads without ordering full sticker kits. Most stickers feature a colorful foil color as well. This book will be forever one of my favorite sticker books. The monthly sticker book will be priced at $16.50.

The Vegan Leather Mini Monthly tabs are a beautiful addition to any of the Erin Condren softbound items. The softbound planners do NOT come with any sort of tabs on them, so these separate tabs are a must have for your softbound planners. There are a few options available on the website. The tabs I was sent are the colorful color scheme (think colorblends/harmony colorful schemes). I think these tabs can easily work for the 8x10 or A5 size planners. You may have some issue with using these with the pocket planners, so I would exercise some caution with these if the pocket planner is your target planner. These tabs are definitely functional for many planners, so if you’re thinking about a softbound planner, I’d recommend these tabs. These tabs will be priced at $6.50.

So that’s my box! I loved going through this package. I was also gifted a Family Organizer in this box, but I’ve already done a full review over it in one of my August blog posts. The softbound launch is so much fun, so I hope this review has helped you make a decision on your 2023 planner stack. Thanks for being on this journey with me.

Introduction

Well howdy!  Welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Johnna. I'm the content creator behind @anaggiewithaplan.  As you can probably gather, I'm a loud and proud Fightin' Texas Aggie. (Texas A&M class of 2018) I have a passion for planners, organization and helping people get the tools they need to be successful in this ever changing world.  As of August 2022, I currently am using a few different systems. I'm using an Erin Condren vertical, compact vertical and a daily planner. I'm also a huge fan of my MakseLife digital system.  This blog is going to be a place for me to talk about what's working/not working in my planner life, tips/tricks I stumble upon as well as my personal favorite things. I also talk a lot about goal setting and handling grief.  I'm hoping to post here around once a week, so feel free to send me suggestions or ideas that you want to see me cover.  So stick with me. This is going to be a fun journey.

Structure your month with me

I know August basically just started, but I'm already looking ahead to big picture things for September! Around halfway through the month, I start taking a look and preplanning the month ahead. Since I now have this blog (and my YouTube), I figured I'd take y'all along for the journey and through my process.  So the first thing I start with is goal setting. Over the past year, I've been really honing in on my goals. I've been setting goals that feel appropriate to my season. I use the MakseLife system for this purpose. My digital goals planner has been an absolute game changer within my planner lineup. As I sit down to plan, the initial step is reviewing my annual goals. I look into whether they still feel realistic, whether they feel reasonable, or if they need some adjusting (or even just cutting certain things). One of my biggest goals for this year was to run a half marathon in December. Honestly, I don't think it's going to happen at this point. It brea...
